Precision machining, component fabrication, and mechanical part restoration for automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial applications — delivered with engineering accuracy from our fully equipped workshop.
Full Engineering Capability
Our workshop provides a wide range of precision machining services using industrial-grade equipment and strict dimensional standards.
From custom part fabrication to component restoration, we deliver accurate, reliable machining solutions for the most demanding industrial applications in Nigeria. Our engineering team combines decades of hands-on experience with precision measurement tools to ensure every component we produce or restore meets or exceeds original specifications.
Whether you need a single replacement bushing machined to exact tolerances, or a complete batch of custom shaft components fabricated for a production line, our workshop is equipped and staffed to handle the job — on time and to specification.
What We Machine
Five core machining disciplines performed in our fully equipped workshop — covering every precision requirement from shaft turning to precision surface grinding.
Precision turning operations for shafts, journals, bushings, sleeves, and threaded components across all common material types.
Horizontal and vertical milling for surface preparation, keyway cutting, slot machining, and precision shaping of complex profiles.
Precision drilling and boring operations for hole correction, component modification, and alignment-critical bore work in the workshop or on-site.
Custom mechanical part manufacturing from raw material stock — from single replacement components to batch production runs for industry clients.
Precision surface grinding for flat surface correction, dimensional finishing, and surface refinement to required Ra finish standards.
Specialist machining operations including precision thread restoration, form cutting, internal grinding, and hard-to-source component reproduction.
Workshop Arsenal
Our workshop is equipped with industrial-grade precision machinery covering the full spectrum of machining operations. All equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained to ensure consistent accuracy across every job — from single components to production batches.
We handle automotive, diesel, construction, and industrial-scale components with equal precision — servicing everything from small engine parts through to large-diameter excavator components.
Heavy-duty lathes capable of turning diameters up to 600mm and lengths up to 3,000mm with tight tolerance control.
Multi-axis milling for flat surface work, keyway cutting, complex profiles, and precision shaping operations.
Surface grinders with electro-magnetic chucks delivering surface finishes down to Ra 0.8µm and flatness tolerances within microns.
Radial arm drill and column drill presses for precision hole making, reaming, tapping, and counterboring operations.
Bore gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, vernier tools, surface plates, and laser alignment systems for dimensional verification.
Capable of handling components from automotive scale through to large industrial and mining equipment. Contact our engineering team to discuss your specific dimensional requirements.
Our Client Base
Our general machining capabilities support a wide cross-section of industries — anywhere that mechanical components require precision manufacturing, restoration, or modification.
Engine component machining, shaft turning, bushing production, and surface grinding supporting independent garages and franchise workshop operations.
Custom fabrication of replacement components, bushing production, and shaft restoration for excavators, cranes, and site equipment.
Heavy-duty component machining for drilling rigs, haul trucks, ore processors, and conveyor system components operating in extreme environments.
Precision component production, mould machining, jig and fixture fabrication, and production-line machinery maintenance support.
Shaft machining, stern tube component fabrication, propeller shaft restoration, and precision marine engineering support at our workshop or on-site.
Crankshaft journals, liner sleeves, piston pin bore work, and generator set engine component machining for industrial power generation assets.
How We Work
Every job follows a structured engineering workflow — from initial assessment through to final dimensional verification and delivery.
We review your component drawings, worn part samples, or technical specifications to understand the exact machining requirements and dimensional targets.
Raw material or existing component is inspected for dimensional condition, material grade confirmation, and machining allowance before setup on the appropriate machine.
Precision machining carried out to specified tolerances using calibrated tooling, appropriate feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters for the material type.
All critical dimensions verified using calibrated measuring instruments — micrometers, bore gauges, surface plates, and where required, CMM measurement tools.
Component cleaned, deburred, and surface finished to specification. Dimensional report issued on request. Ready for immediate installation or dispatch.
Reverse Engineering & Fabrication
When original spare parts are no longer available, are prohibitively expensive, or have extended lead times — we manufacture them.
Our engineers are experienced in reverse engineering worn or damaged components from physical samples, existing drawings, or on-site measurements. We fabricate precision replacement parts from appropriate raw material stock, matching original dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish requirements precisely.
This service is particularly valuable for older equipment where OEM spares are discontinued, for imported machinery where parts must be shipped internationally, and for industrial clients who require multiple identical components manufactured as a batch.
We measure and document worn components to recreate accurate manufacturing dimensions and tolerances.
Manufacturing replacement bushings, shafts, pins, sleeves, and liners to exact OEM or improved specifications.
Modifying components to improve performance, upgrade material grade, or adapt to non-standard applications.
Engineering Excellence
Every component that leaves our workshop has been measured, verified, and cleared against dimensional requirements. We do not compromise on accuracy.
All components machined to specified tolerances and verified with calibrated measuring instruments prior to release — typically achieving ±0.01mm on critical dimensions.
We achieve and verify required Ra surface finishes on all turned, ground, and milled surfaces — from rough-machined functional surfaces through to precision-ground finishes.
Strict tolerance control throughout the machining process using staged measurement checks — not just a final inspection — ensuring dimensions are maintained at every operation.
Every completed component undergoes a formal dimensional sign-off by a qualified engineer before leaving the workshop. Inspection records available on request for critical components.
Proven Capability
A selection of general machining projects completed by our engineering workshop.
A critical pump shaft for an industrial water treatment facility was damaged beyond repair. With no OEM replacement available locally, we reverse-engineered the shaft from the broken sample, fabricated from EN8 high-tensile steel, and machined to drawing — delivered within 72 hours.
A Caterpillar 320 excavator required a full set of boom and arm pin bushings. Unavailable through the local dealer network, we machined a complete set from bronze bar stock to exact OEM dimensions — all bushings verified with bore gauges before supply.
A large diesel engine block for an offshore generator set presented a warped deck surface following overheating damage. We performed precision surface milling and final grinding of the block deck to restore flatness within 0.05mm — enabling successful head gasket sealing on rebuild.
The AutoBore Advantage
Our workshop runs purpose-built industrial machinery — not repurposed light equipment. Every machine is calibrated, maintained, and capable of holding tight tolerances on demanding materials.
Our machinists are trade-qualified engineers with years of hands-on experience across lathe, milling, grinding, and boring operations — not general technicians learning on your component.
Every critical dimension is verified with calibrated instruments before and after machining. We document key measurements and provide inspection data for quality-critical components on request.
We understand that equipment downtime costs money. We structure our workflow to prioritise urgent jobs and provide realistic turnaround timelines upfront — and we stick to them.
Our general machining service integrates directly with our engine rebuilding, line boring, and crankshaft grinding capabilities — giving you a complete, coordinated workshop solution.
Our workshop serves clients from across Nigeria. Components can be shipped to and from our facility, or where applicable, our mobile teams can attend your site directly for certain machining operations.
